MiniRead

MiniRead is a reading app for iPhone and iPad that opens the EPUB, PDF, TXT and Markdown books saved on your device, and lets you tune every margin, space and font until the page feels right. Your library stays on your device: no account, no tracking.

Key features:

• Every format you have — EPUB, PDF, TXT and Markdown, imported from Files, AirDrop or any app’s share sheet; TXT files in GBK, Big5, Shift JIS and other encodings open correctly
• Typography you control — font, size, line, paragraph and letter spacing, first-line indent, alignment and all four margins, each step by step
• Chapters that make sense — TXT books get a real table of contents with volumes and chapters; pick another chapter rule or write your own
• Highlights and notes — highlight, annotate, bookmark and search the whole book; it stays where you left it
• Paged or scrolling — tap, swipe or page-curl, or scroll continuously; light, sepia and dark themes
• Reading insights — today’s reading time and your streak
• Book sources — import Legado-format sources to search, stream chapters or download for offline reading (MiniRead ships with none)
• App interface in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Spanish

Privacy: Books, reading progress, bookmarks, highlights and notes stay on your device. No account, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no tracking. The whole library can be backed up to a file you choose.

Pricing: Reading is free — unlimited books, every format, every typography option and theme. MiniRead Pro is an optional one-time purchase that adds read-aloud (with background playback and lock-screen controls), Markdown export of highlights and notes, and full reading insights.

Requires iPhone or iPad with iOS 17 or later.
